Replacing media drives

Connect the power cable of the tape drive.

Result:

The tape drive is installed.

Replace the upper fan holder foam.

For instructions on replacing the upper fan holder foam, see “To
replace the upper fan holder foam” on page 128.

Replace the side cover.

Reconnect the peripheral device and power cables.

Power up the server.

Test the tape drive.

CAUTION

Risk of equipment damage

Ensure that any cables in the proximity of the fans are
kept away from the fans. If a cable is caught in a fan,
the fan will break.
