Pressurizing the System
(contd)
2. Set the air regulator to 1.4 bar (20 psi).
3. See the fluid pressure regulator on the front panel to 0.7 bar (10 psi).
4. Move the air directional valve to the forward position.
At this point you should hear the air motor for the circulating pump
begin to run. The circulating pump is attempting to pump fluid from
the fluid reservoir into the fluid system.
In 1–2 minute(s) you will hear a change in the pitch of the motor as it
begins to slow. Let the motor run one-minute longer. The system
should now be full of fluid and purged of air.
5. Turn the three-way dump valve to the horizontal position to stop the
material flow to the fluid reservoir.
6. Turn the three-way recirculation valve so it is pointing to the left. This
will circulate the material to the gear pump.
Starting the Heater
WARNING: Before applying power to the heater, make sure all
conductive objects in the coating area are properly grounded.
Electrical sparks discharged from ungrounded conductive
objects may start fires or cause explosions.
1.
See Figures 5 and 6.
Apply power to the heater by pressing the Heat
button on the front panel of a workcell or using the rear-mounted
switch on the back on the conveyorized workcell.
2. Allow fluid temperature to stabilize.
3. If the digital controller is not indicating the desired temperature, refer
to
Troubleshooting for more information.
