Manual 12-11

The following paragraphs provide procedures for disassembly, repair and
assembly of the SCH-1 heater. These procedures should be performed
by qualified personnel observing standard safety practices.

WARNING: Remove power, relieve fluid and air pressure, and
allow heater to cool down before performing any maintenance.
Failure to observe this warning may cause serious injury to
personnel and/or damage to equipment.

See Figure 2.

Heat Limiter Removal

1. Remove the six-socket head cap screw and lockwashers securing the

cover to the heater. Remove the cover.

2. Disconnect the lead wired L1 and 1 from the heat limiter.

3. Carefully pull the heat limiter (5) out of the fluid passage body.

Heat Limiter Installation

1. Install the heat limiter (5) into the fluid passage body.

2. Connect lead wired L1 and 1 to the heat limiter

3. Replace the heater cover.
