Explanation: To react to a level change at the universal inputs as quickly as possible, the module chain
detailed in "Internal processing of the measurement values" on page 27 (with exception of the control module)
for the relevant universal input is operated once per second in Digital operating mode. This ensures that
alarms and triggers are detected asynchronously to the measurement cycle. The signal must be present for at
least 1 second to definitely detect a pulse safely. Additionally, any brief faults can be eliminated with the help
of the "filter time".
6.1.1 Filter module
The filter module is designed to compensate for brief fluctuations to the input signal. This module is only
available for the 4 universal inputs.
The following table specifies the relevant parameters for the module:
