Cleaning Method
In case of adhesive adhering to heat element of the thermal head, print quality may drop.
Also, it may adhere to platen and sensor part.
In this case, please turn the power off and clean thermal head following instructions mentioned
below. (Indication: Approx. 5,000 sheets)
1) Thermal Head
Please clean surface of heating element with a cotton swab moistened with ethanol or
isopropyl alcohol
(described IPA hereinafter). (Please beware not to touch other places.)
2) Platen
Please remove trash and dust on the surface by wiping like rubbing slightly with dry cloth.
3) No paper sensor, Paper near end sensor and its surrounding
Please remove trash / dust adhered to sensor with a soft-bristled brush or a cotton swab.
4) Auto cutter
Please remove trash / dust adhere to cutter with air-blower.
(Reference: every hundred-thousand operation)
Please contact us when problems occur like disabling paper cut, etc.
[Note]
・
Since thermal head may be highly-heated right after printing, please beware not to touch it.
・
Please do not touch directly with metal or by hand to the heating element of the thermal head.
・
Please beware of static electricity while cleaning, because it may damage the thermal head.
・
It may have a bloom of paper depending on papers, determine the period of maintenance after
verifying what kind of a paper to use.
・
Please make sure to turn ON the power after its complete dry.
・
Please make sure not to apply excessive force beyond stop position when opening the head cover.
・
The operation 4.8.2) or level adjustment by command will be required when reading gap between
paper does not work after cleaning.
