4.8 How to remove the remaining paper, jammed paper.
1) Lift head open lever as per arrow direction to open the thermal head cover.
2) Remove all papers on paper path.
3) Close thermal head cover completely to click.
4) Completely close the thermal head cover until it clicks and locks.
[CAUTION]
* Since thermal head may be highly-heated right after printing, beware not to touch it.
* Beware not to touch cutter blade at paper jam failure because it may fall out from the unit.
4.9 How to clean thermal head
Printing quality may get worse if paper chaff is adhered to heating element of thermal head.
In this case, turn OFF the power and follow instructions shown below.

Clean surface of heating element with a cotton swab moistened with ethanol or IPA.
(2)
Platen
Remove trash, dust from platen surface by wiping and rubbing lightly with a dry cloth.
(3) Mark sensor / paper sensor and surroundings
Remove trash / dust adhered to sensor with a soft-bristled brush or a cotton swab.
[CAUTION]
*Since thermal head may be highly-heated right after printing, beware not to touch it.
*Do NOT touch directly with metal or by your hand to heating element of the thermal head.
*Beware of static electricity while cleaning, because it may damage the thermal head.
*It may have a bloom of paper depending on papers, check at the period of maintenance and
decide what kind of a paper to use.
*Make sure to turn ON the power after its complete dry.
*Make sure not to apply excess angle when opening the head cover.
