Brake Pedal Lever Position:

See Figure 3. Remove the Brake Return Spring (A) and loosen the Lock Nut (B).

Adjust the Turnbuckle (C) in or out until the Brake Pedal Lever (D) is 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) down from the top of slot in the chassis.
NOTE: Brake Arm (E) must not bottom out against slot in the caliper.

Tighten the Lock Nut (B) and re-install the Brake Return Spring (A).

Test the brake for proper operation, the brake pedal should have about 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) of free play before the brake engages.

BRAKE CALIPER REPLACEMENT

Follow steps 1-3 in the
Wheel Drive Chain
Adjustment
section to gain access to the
brake assembly.

Remove brake pedal return spring.

See Figure 4. Remove brake link Cotter Pin
(A) and remove Brake Link (B) from the brake
lever. NOTE: Brake Link (B) MUST connect
to the bottom hole as shown.

Remove the two (C) Nuts and (D) Bolts and lift
Bracket (E) off with the Brake Caliper (F).

Slide the Brake Caliper (F) off of Bracket (E)
and install a new Brake Caliper.
6
Re-assemble in reverse order and adjust
according to
Brake Adjustment
section.
