Appendix
Installing TCP/IP on Windows 95/98/ME
Note: Windows 2000/NT users, please see your user manual
First install your Network card
before
trying to install TCP/IP.
1. Click
your
Start
button >
Settings
>
Control Panel
2. Double-click
the
Network
icon. You should see the window below appear.
3. Under
the
Configuration
tab, you should see your Network Card (listed as an
“Adapter”). If not, confirm that it installed successfully.
4. Click
the
Add
button.
5. Double-Click

6. The window below should appear, select
Microsoft
under the list of
Manufacturers.
7. Scroll down the list of Network Protocols, select
TCP/IP
and click
OK
.
8. After a moment the Network window should reappear with TCP/IP listed.
Click
OK
.
9. Your computer may ask for a Windows CD, just point it to your CD drive or
Windows files on your hard drive (for example; “D:\Win98” or
“C:\windows\options\cabs”).
Windows will ask you to Reboot. Your TCP/IP installation is done!
