Checking Advanced Setup
Information
Before placing your first call, please enter or check the
following information located in the Advanced Setup
menu:
Dialing mode —enables you to select your
telephone-dialing mode—tone or pulse.
Call waiting —enables you to block the call
waiting feature if your telephone line is set up to
notify you of incoming calls during another call.
Contact email address —enables you to receive
important information regarding free firmware
upgrades, user tips, and bug notices.

recommended!)

Setup, see Chapter 5, Configuring Your
Device.
Changing Your Telephone Dialing Mode
If your telephone-dialing mode is Tone (touch-tone), then
skip to “
Disabling Call Waiting ” below. If your telephone-
dialing mode is Pulse (rotary), then you must change the
default setting from Tone.
To change your telephone dialing mode:
1. When
Yap Jack Pro * Ready *
is displayed
on the LCD, press the Menu/Exit button.
2. Using the down ( ) button, move to the
>Advanced Setup
menu option, and press the
OK button.
3. Using the down ( ) button, move to the
>Device Setup
menu option, and press the OK
button.
4. Using the down ( ) button, move to the
>Dialing Mode
menu option, and press the OK
button.
The
Dialing Mode
entry field displays.
5. Use the down ( ) button or the up ( ) button to
navigate to Tone .
6. To save your entry, press the OK button.
