3-4 Adding Options

Connect the modem adapter to the modem card.

Connecting the adapter

Plug one of the modular telephone cable connectors into
the jack on the modem adapter.

Proceed as follows.

■

To connect your modem directly to a wall outlet,
plug the other end of the phone cable into a telephone
jack in the wall. (You may have to unplug a tele-
phone to do so.)

Attaching the modem is complete.
