Using Setup and Power Management 3-11

system will boot up. This feature allows only an authorized
user to access your system, including the Setup program
where you can set or change system parameters.
Set an initial password as follows.
1.
Select Security from the menu bar.
2.
Open the Set Supervisor Password screen by pressing
Enter
.
3.
In the “Enter New Password” field, enter a password up
to eight characters long. Press
Enter
on the keyboard.
4.
Reenter your password as prompted for verification.
Press
Enter
and write your password down and keep it
in a secure place in case you forget it.
A dialog box notifies you that changes have been saved.

the system.
