Plug in the USB device.

Connecting a USB device

NOTE

Currently, USB activity is not recognized by

the power management system in your notebook
computer. As a result, USB devices such as an ex-
ternal keyboard, mouse, or joystick do not prevent
the system from entering a power management
state. When the system resumes, the NEC Versa
may become unstable.

We recommend that you disable power manage-
ment when using a USB device. See Chapter 3,
“Using Setup and Power Management” for details.

Audio Devices

The NEC Versa comes equipped with built-in audio ports
that let you record and play sound.

Connect audio jacks, like a microphone or external speak-
ers, to the audio ports as follows.
