4-38 Using Your NEC Versa

Connecting a parallel device

Connect the power cable to the device and a properly
grounded wall outlet.

Turn on power to the device and then to the system.

NOTE

Check that the device is online before you try

to use it. See the instructions that came with the
device for more information.

External Monitor

You can add a standard external monitor to your NEC
Versa. You need a display signal cable (usually provided
with the monitor). One end of the cable must have a 15-pin
connector for the system.

Follow these steps to connect an external monitor to your
NEC Versa.

Check that the NEC Versa is powered off and the
monitor Power switch is turned off.
