The utility checks the currently installed BIOS version
and the diskette’s BIOS version. The Main Menu ap-
pears.

Use the arrow keys to highlight the “Display BIOS Ver-
sion” option on the Main Menu. Use this option to check
the currently installed BIOS version and the version of
the new replacement BIOS.
Press any key to return to the Main Menu.

Highlight the “Install New BIOS” option and press
Enter
.

Press
Y
and then press
Enter
. After a brief pause, the
utility updates the BIOS.

A message appears indicating that your system has been
updated and that you should power off your system.
9.
Power off your system and remove the diskette. The next
time you power on your system, you will have the newly
installed NEC Versa 2700 Series BIOS revision level.
10.
Follow the instructions in the previous section and reset
the BIOS Flash Enable switch to OFF.
11.
Power on the system. A message similar to the follow-
ing appears:

Press F1 to run SETUP

Press F1 to enter Setup. Highlight Auto Configuration
with Defaults. Press
Enter

Y
, and press

.
While in Setup, restore any customized settings that
you made.

Highlight Save Settings and Exit. Press
