7.5.2 Interrupt controller

The diagram below gives an overview about the interrupt controller.

Each register of the interrupt controller provides one dedicated bit for each raw
interrupt source.

The raw interrupts are generated inside the Video Output module. Depending on
the interrupt controller configuration a raw interrupt can generate a system
interrupt to outside the Video Output module.

VOnLCDRIS

The read-only LCD raw interrupt status register VOnLCDRIS reflects the
occurence of any raw interrupt. Any of the bits set here can generate a system
interrupt, provided it is enabled, i.e. unmasked.

VOnLCDIMSC

Any of the raw interrupts can be enabled (unmasked) respectively disabled
(masked) by setting respectively resetting the corresponding bit in the LCD
interrupt mask register VOnLCDIMSC.
The interrupt is enabled (unmasked), if its mask bit in VOnLCDIMSC is set to 1.
A disabled (masked) raw interrupt can not generate a system interrupt to outside
the Video Output module.

VOnLCDICR

Any unmasked interrupt, that has occured is saved and generates a system
interrupt to outside the Video Output module. A saved interrupt can be cleared
by writing to its corresponding bit in the write-only LCD interrupt clear register
VOnLCDICR.

VOnLCDMIS

The read-only LCD masked interrupt status register VOnLCDMIS shows which
system interrupts are currently active.
