6. Addition of Optional Devices

6.1 Addition of a Disk Enclosure

For more capacity, the addition of one or more Disk Enclosures (DE) allows disk drives to be added.
(Up to 120 disk drives may be installed with up to eight additional disk enclosures.)

With the installation of a DE port NF2900-SP02E, up to 16 disk enclosures and up to 240 disk drives
may be installed.

Product name: FC disk enclosure

NEC Part number: NF2500-SE42E

: SATA disk enclosure

NEC Part number: NF2500-SE82E

Be sure to install disk drives into slots PD00, PD01, PD02, and PD03 of the first FC

disk enclosure.

DP0 can contain up to four FC Disk Enclosures,

DP1, DP2 and DP3 can contain up to four FC and SATA Disk Enclosures.

FC and SATA Disk Enclosures can not be mixed on one port.
