Troubleshooting Procedure
1. After arriving on site, check the fault and complaints with the branch personnel. Study
the fault in the module. For more information, see
“
Error Code and Troubleshooting
”
.
If the trouble is in the card reader, continue to Step 2.
2. Enter the supervisor mode on the operator panel, and check the status LED. Check if
the error is red in color and if an error code is displayed at the display. In case an
error code is displayed, compare the error code with the error code list in the manual
and identify the fault type.
3. If no error code is displayed, enter the Technician mode and initialize the card reader
or conduct a functional test in order to check whether a fault has occurred.
4. Determine if the error can be corrected in the field.
5. Take prompt measures if possible. Otherwise, replace the card reader.
6. When replacing a card reader, keep journal and log files.
