Test Print Menu

Performs nozzle check of Print head and setup list.

TIP

Refer to the following for the operation procedure of test print.

3.5 Test print

Setup Item

Description

Nozzle Check

Perform the nozzle check printing.
It is used to check whether there are any clogged heads, or missing/blurred prints.

3.5.1 Nozzle check

Mode Print

Mode print can be performed.
Used to confirm the following printing conditions.
• Print quality
• Effect
• Pre-heater temperature (VJ-2638/1638)
• Platen heater temperature (VJ-2638/1638)
• Dryer temperature (VJ-2638/1638)
• Media feed compensation micro adjustment value

3.5.2 Mode print

Setup List

Setup list printing is performed.
Used to check the setup item and the user type.

3.5.3 Setup print

Palette

Palette printing is performed as a color demonstration.

NOTE

• When the selected print mode of the user type is Graphics 1 or Graphics 

2, Palette menu is not displayed.

Color Verify (VJ-2638/1638 

only)

Print the color patches, then measure the color using the optional spectrophotometer 
(SPECTROVUE VM-10). Compare the currently printed color with the previously printed 
color to check the color difference.

3.5.5 Color Verify (VJ-2638/1638 only)

• [Cancel] key: shifts to the previous menu.
