C-4 Troubleshooting Your Vanguard 320
While Coldloading a New Software Image
After downloading the
image, the node runs
startup diagnostics but
then locks up, and power
cycling the node does not
recover it. You may have
downloaded a bad image,
or the image is not
compatible with the
CMEM configuration in
the node. • Check the image you
just downloaded, and
if a wrong image has
been downloaded,
you can use the ZAP
utility to either erase
the software image or
the CMEM image in
the node. This will
also allow you to
reload a new soft-
ware image or start
from blank CMEM to
isolate the cause of
the problem.
• If the problem
persists, contact
Customer Support.
When using the Vanguard
Software Loader to
coldload software images
into the Vanguard 320,
coldloading can fail if the
speed is 115200 bps. Speed is to high. • Select a lower
coldload speed of
57600 bps or 38400
bps.
