Powering on the Vanguard 320

Powerup Diagnostics

Power Up
Sequence

When the Vanguard 320 power cord is plugged into the power supply outlet, you will
see the following powerup sequence:

Detailed FT1/FE1
LED

The FT1/FE1 daughtercards have one LED located on the real panel. Software
controls the LED and indicates the following when ON or OFF:

• ON - Alarm condition data path is disrupted, refer to the FT1/FE1 interface

statistics for more information on the problem.

• OFF - Normal operation exists.

Stage

Vanguard is receiving power.

TEST (GREEN) comes on
and blinks five times

Diagnostics executes for 30 seconds.

STATUS (GREEN) comes on
and blinks at slow rate.

TEST/WATCHDOG

on.

Indicates software is being downloaded
from FLASH.

STATUS (GREEN) light
stays off for up to 10 seconds,
then turns green.

Software is initializing your system
configuration.
