4 Get Revision STRUCT
of: Revision of the item the
Identity Object rep-
resents.
Default Value: 1.1 Zero is not valid for
either the Major or
Minor Revision fields.
Major Revision USINT Incremented by the
vendor when there is a
significant change to
the product "fit, form,
or function". Limited to values
between 1 and 127;
the eighth bit (rep-
resenting, when set to
one, values of 128 –
255) is reserved by
CIP and shall have a
value of zero.
Minor Revision USINT Identifies product
changes that do not
affect user con-
figuration choices. Displayed as three
digits with leading
zeros as necessary.
