This chapter presents an example of how to proceed with the commissioning of the HarshIO Safety modules
based on the Molex SNCT configuration tool and
Rockwell Automation RSLogix™ 5000 software version 20.

Warning!
Uncontrolled processes can lead to personal injury and material damages.
Warning!
Use only components complying with safety standard corresponding to the required
safety level.
It is recommended to consult a certification body regarding the assessment of the entire system.
You will need to define the type of safety components to be used, including the HarshIO Safety modules.
This will be necessary to calculate the parameters of the whole safety function.
The safety function shall be the result of a risk assessment study.
IP address setting
The HarshIO module is configured in DHCP mode by default.
When connecting to a network with a DHCP server, an IP address is automatically assigned to the module.
Setting IP address using the 3 rotaries
You can stop the DHCP procedure (in case of no DHCP server on the network) by selecting the 3 rotaries
located in the window area of the module.
