EtherNet/IP CIP Safety HarshIO

IO module can be used with a protocol compliant scanner as part of control

system architecture. The modules built-in 2-port Ethernet DLR capable switch allowing to use the network
topology that meets the application needs. These topologies include the following:



Star



Daisy-chain



Combination of star and daisy-chain



DLR for Ethernet media ring redundancy

Star topology

Star topology allows to connect mixed I/O modules or additional devices. Performing maintenance on one
module

– for example, by removing the network cable, or by cycling power to the module – does not affect

other modules.
