    IP67 Safety Digital I/O Modules 

 

Safety Reset  

The Safety Reset is a command to reset the ownership between the EtherNet/IP Scanner and a HarshIO 
module in case of one of the below parameter has changed:     

•  HarshIO TCP/IP address 
•  HarshIO Safety Network Number (SNN) 
•  HarshIO configuration signature 

 
 

 

Note! 

The command is useful if a HarshIO module already commissioned needs to be reset 
with the factory “out-of-box” configuration setting (meaning default SNN, no 
configuration signature and no stored IP address). 

 

 

Note! 

The procedure is based on the assumption that the module has been already 
commissioned and no information is known about the module (IP address, SNN, lock, 
signature, password…). 

 

To perform a Safety Reset follows the below procedure: 
 

1. 

Set the computer network interface to 

192.168.1.100

. 

 

2. 

Open the HarshIO module window and set the 3 rotary switches to position 

001

 (corresponding to static 

IP address 

192.168.0.1

) 

  

3. 

Power up the module 
 

4. 

Launch the SNCT 
 

5. 

Create a new project (

File/New

) 

 

6. 

Select the correct safety module model and version
