7  Connecting the Fax to the Computer

To use your Minoltafax 1300 as a printer, connect it to your computer using
the 8-bit Centronics printer interface.

 1

Turn your computer off and pull the power plug of the Minoltafax.

 2

Connect the printer end of the printer cable to the socket of the
Minoltafax and fasten it with the holders.

 3

Connect the other end of the cable to the computer.

 4

Turn the computer on and connect the power cable of the Minoltafax.

 5

Install the printer driver in the computer.

 6

Press [FAX/PRINTER] to switch the Minoltafax to print mode.

Note that the plug of the printer cable will not fit the slot in the
Minoltafax, if it is wider than 17 mm. To avoid communication errors
between the computer and the Minoltafax, the cable should be no
longer than 6 feet (1,8 m).
