4.1.2 Placing the Documents
Place the document face down
on the document feeder

Centre the document and
adjust the paper guides so that
they lightly touch the edges of
the document but not jam it

You can place up to 20 sheets in the document feeder. Make sure the
documents are well placed and aligned before starting the transmission.
If you want to send more than 20 sheets, place the additional sheets in the
document feeder during the transmission.
If the paper is curled or the sheets stick to each other, several pages may
be drawn in together. This can lead to document jams and faulty trans-
missions. In this case, place the sheets individually in the document feeder
to ensure a correct feeding of the documents.
Especially smooth documents may slip in the document feeder. This may
cause the output document to be "stretched". Copy the document on
normal paper first to prevent this.
