5 Receiving
Select the receiving mode by pressing [AUTO/MAN.ANSWER] until the
desired LED is lit. (For manual reception no LED is lit.)
F
Make sure the space in front of the paper exit is free. Jammed paper
may cause the print to be smudged.
When you receive large half tone pictures, the memory may not be
sufficient to store the whole picture. In this case ask the other party to
send the picture as black and white only.
5.1 Manual
Receiving
Receiving conversation calls is only possible through an external
telephone. Generally it is only sensible to set the machine to manual
receiving, if you are expecting voice telephone calls on the same line. This
should be kept in mind when the reception mode is set.
1
Manual receiving mode is selected when neither the AUTO nor the
ANSWER LED is lit.
2
When the telephone rings, lift the receiver. If software switch No. 54
is ON, the machine automatically receives incoming fax messages. In
this case simply replace the receiver when you hear no more signal
tones.
3
If the incoming call is a telephone conversation with a subsequent fax
message, press [3] + [3] after the conversation, to begin the
transmission. (For tone dialling only.)
4
The received copy is first stored in the memory and is printed out
afterwards.
F
If the surrounding environment is extraordinaryly loud, the
Minoltafax 1300 may not recognise the signal tone correctly.
In this case press [START] to begin the transmission.
Press [HOLD] to hold a telephone conversation. Press [HOLD] to resume
the conversation.
Use software switch No. 10 to determine whether your partner hears
music while on hold.
