9.3 Cleaning the Platen Roller
When a paper jam occurs, the printer may print directly on the platen
roller. (The roller that moves the paper past the printer head.) This may
cause stains on the back of the following sheets. In this case make several
copies until the paper remains clean.
Cleaning the Outer Covers
Clean the outer covers with a slightly damp cloth or a mild detergent,
if necessary.
9.4 Removing a Paper Jam
If a paper jam or a document jam occurs, a message indicating paper jam
or document jam appears in the display.
If this occurs at the positions described below, proceed as follows:
Removing a Document Jam
Press [STOP] if the error LED
is lit.
Open the operation panel.
Press the green lever to
release and remove the paper.
