Monitoring AG
14-5
14.5.5 Setting up the O
2
Compensation
If the AG module does not incorporate the O
2
module, you need to manually select [
O2
Compen
] and then select [
Off
] or an appropriate setting according to the amount of O
2
in the
ventilation gas mixture. When the amount of O
2
is less than 30%, you’d better switch this
compensation off.
If the AG module incorporates the O
2
module, the system will directly use the O
2
concentration detected by the O
2
module to make compensation. At this time, the [
O2
Compen
] in the setup menu for any gas is fixed to [
Off
].
14.5.6 Changing the Operating Mode
The default operating mode is standby when the monitor is switched on. You can start the AG
module by selecting any gas’s parameter window
→
[
Operating Mode
]
→
[
Measure
]. When
the monitor restarts, the AG module automatically continues with the previously chosen
operating mode.
14.5.7 Setting the Automatic Standby Time
The AG module enters standby mode automatically when no breath is detected for a
configured period of time. Before the AG module enters the standby mode, at least one breath
should be detected. Otherwise, it will not enter the standby mode even if the patient has
stopped for longer than the configured period time. To set the standby time, in the setup menu
for any gas, select [
Auto Standby
] and then select the appropriate setting.
14.5.8 Setting up the AG Wave
Select a gas’s waveform area to enter its waveform menu. In this menu, you can:
Select [
Wave Type
] and toggle between [
Draw
] and [
Fill
] (This option is for CO
2
only):
[
Draw
]: The CO
2
wave is displayed as a curved line.
[
Fill
]: The CO
2
wave CO
2
is displayed as a filled area.
Select [
Sweep
] and then select the appropriate setting. The faster the wave sweeps, the
wider the wave is.
Change the size of the waveform by adjusting the [
Scale
].
