Replacing the Head with an Optional Head

Tighten the three screws removed at Step 2.

Connect the connector.

• Connect the connector and reattach the cover.

Connect the motor cable connector to the
spindle motor.

• Remove the cap from the end of the connector before

connecting it.

Mount the dust-collector hose.

Replacing a Model M Head with a Model R1 or TF2 Head

Disconnect the motor cable connector
from the spindle motor and apply the cap
to the connector.

(1)

Turn the connector several times clockwise.

(2)

Remove the connector.

(3)

Attach the protective cap to the connector.

Trap the motor cable connector in the
fixing spring assembly on the right of the
head.

• Trap the end of the connector in the fixing spring

assembly.

• Always turn off the power before replacing the head.
