The MIL'S oil safety data sheet is available on request: www.mils.fr
We advise you to analyze oil regularly to ensure that its characteristics are maintained.
Oil filter
3.3.2.
Always change the oil filter cartridge at the bottom of the housing and the O-ring on the underside of the
filling plug every time you change oil.
The oil filter must be tightened by hand and without tools to prevent damage.
Separating cartridge
3.3.3.
The separating cartridge will clog up more or less quickly depending on the degree of impurities sucked in.
These cartridges are not reusable. We recommend a change at 3000 hours.
This frequency must be adapted to suit your pumping application.
Excessive clogging of the separating cartridge will increase the pressure drop. The flow rate
will decrease; the motor intensity and temperature of the pump will increase. The cartridge
may crack and the pump will emit fumes through its exhaust.
Assembly advice:
Remove the nuts
[1]
and plate
[2]
with its gasket.
Unscrew
[3]
so as to release and remove the bracket assembly
[4]
. Remove the oil separating cartridge
[5]
.
Reassembly:
Position the cartridge nose correctly in the pressure box housing so that the O-ring
[6]
rests on the face
provided in the pressure box. Replace bracket assembly
[4]
and screw in
[3]
to seal the O-ring
[6]
. Once the
new cartridge (s) is/are in place, before replacing the cover plate
[2]
and if application permits, turn on the
pump to ensure that there is no smoke. If there is smoke, the cartridge is incorrectly positioned: the O-ring
[6]
does not properly gasket. Adjust the cartridge assembly. Replace plate
[2]
with new gasket. Tighten nuts
[1]
.

Suction valve
3.3.4.
A screen
[1]
is located at the pump’s suction port. Depending on the level of impurities sucked up, it must
be cleaned regularly by washing or blowing.
Replace it if it’s necessary.
Remove the suction flange
[2]
. Remove and clean the screen
[1]
. Replace the valve
[5]
and seal
[4]
.
If necessary, replace the flange o’ring

Coupling
3.3.5.
The coupling ring is subject to wear that relates to the service conditions (number of stop/start cycles,
temperature, etc.); check the condition of the coupling ring and the fingers of the 1/2 sleeves that
accommodate the ring. If necessary, replace them by removing the electric motor.
Lip seals
3.3.6.
The rotor shaft outlets are sealed by lip seals. These seals are subject to wear that depends on the service
conditions. This wear can be characterized by two phenomena: oil leakage or reduction in the final vacuum
due to air intake.
Remove the motor and detach the 1/2 coupling sleeve from the rotor shaft. Remove the radiator (except
E65.R / E100.R) and remove the pump ventilation unit. Follow the procedure for changing a ring as
indicated below for replacement of the front and rear bushings. It is not necessary to disassemble the lamp
or remove the rotor from the pump unit to replace the lipped bushings.
Procedure for changing a ring
: Remove and check the
condition of the existing wear ring
[1]
, change it if
necessary. Remove the lip seal ring
[2]
and reassemble a
new one with a tool ensuring perpendicularity with respect
to the rotor axis (consult us for assistance with ordering the
appropriate tools) having previously applied a light layer of
Loctite 542 adhesive to the outer diameter of the lip seal
ring. The main lip is directed towards the inside of the
body. Reassemble the assembly by replacing the rotor shaft
O-ring.
The use of a type of oil other than that recommended by MIL'S is under your responsibility
and/or that of your supplier. The use of an unsuitable or immiscible type of oil can cause
the pump to be damaged beyond repair.
