Cleaning the compressor and
metal grille at the back of the
appliance

When cleaning the compressor

and the metal grille, make sure that
cables and other components do not
get ripped off, kinked or damaged in
any way.

The compressor and metal grille at the
back of the appliance (heat exchanger)
should be dusted at least once a year. A
build-up of dust will increase the energy
consumption of the appliance.

Replacing the charcoal filters

The active charcoal filters should be
changed approx. every 6 months.

When the indicator on the control panel

 lights up red the charcoal filters need

exchanging.

Replacement KKF-RF charcoal filters
are available from Miele or online at
shop.miele.com.

The holder for the charcoal filters is
dishwasher-safe.

Pull the charcoal filter holder upwards
to remove it from the shelf.

When in position the charcoal filters
must not touch the back wall of the
appliance as the moisture could
cause them to stick to the back wall.
Insert the new charcoal filters into
the holder so that they do not
protrude over the edge of the holder.

Remove both charcoal filters and
place the new filters with the raised
edge pointing downwards in the
holder.

Place the holder in the middle of the
raised edge at the back of the shelf
so that it clicks into position.

To confirm that you have changed the
charcoal filters, touch the indicator 

on the control panel for approx. 2
seconds.

The change charcoal filters indicator will
go out and the counter is reset.
