Switching on and off

22

To switch the PerfectFresh zone off
separately

The PerfectFresh zone can be switched
off without having to switch off the
freezer section. This is useful, e.g. while
on holiday.

Select the PerfectFresh zone 

.

The PerfectFresh symbol will light up
yellow.

Touch the On/Off sensor 

 until the

PerfectFresh symbol goes out.

The interior lighting will not come on
when you open the door and the
PerfectFresh zone is switched off. The
freezer section remains switched on
and the Freezer symbol is lit up.

To switch the PerfectFresh zone back
on

Select the PerfectFresh zone 

 so

that the PerfectFresh symbol lights up
yellow, then touch the On/Off sensor

 until the temperature display lights

up, or

Switch the appliance off and then on
again.

The appliance will start to cool and the
interior lighting will come on when the
PerfectFresh zone door is opened.

Switching off for longer
periods of time

If, during a long absence, the

appliance is switched off but not
cleaned and the door(s) left shut,
there is a danger of mould building
up inside the appliance.
It is essential to clean the appliance.

If the appliance is not going to be used
for a longer period of time, e.g. whilst
on holiday:

switch the appliance off,

switch off at the wall and withdraw
the plug from the socket, or
disconnect the mains circuit breaker
or remove the screw-out fuse in
countries where this is applicable,

empty the ice-cube drawer

turn off the mains water tap

clean the appliance, and

leave the appliance doors slightly ajar
to avoid the build-up of odours.

It is also advisable to carry out the last
two instructions if you are switching
the refrigerator section off for a longer
period of time.
