We have designed this manual to help you enjoy all that your Mendota fireplace Insert has to offer. You will find tips, operating 
instructions, and frequently asked questions to support the features and functions of your fireplace Insert. 

We want you to enjoy your Mendota for years to come. If you have any additional questions regarding operation of your 
fireplace Insert, please contact your Mendota local dealer.

AESTHETIC CONSIDERATIONS 

Burning or static fireplaces are a major aesthetic focus in any room. In addition to offering the most realistic log details, textures, 
coloration and the most realistic wood fire options, Mendota also offers a large array of internal firebox lining options and

5.2

 

HEATING PERFORMANCE 

Mendo

ta’s high heat output fireplace 

Insert will heat a large area of your home.  Air movement options for maximizing heat 

circulation that can be considered are operating the Insert

’s convection blowers, continuous operation of central heating furnace 

blowers or room ceiling fans.  The heat output of the fireplace can be reduced by reducing flame height using the remote 
control. Blowers can be turned down or turned off to reduce heat distribution.

OPERATING INFORMATION  

5.4.1

 

Using Your Remote Control 

Your Mendota remote control is pre-programmed to your fireplace. Ensure you have installed 3 AAA batteries into your remote.  

Press the top button on the remote control. If you do not hear a beep when you press this button, follow the instructions below 
to synchronize your fireplace and remote control. 

5.4.2

 

Synchronizing the Fireplace and Remote Control

 The master switch and sync switch are 

located on the bottom right corner of the 
fireplace in the side air gap.
