7.1.
Connecting
headphones
Connect headphones to the headphone jack (
). You can adjust the volume in the menu

WARNING!
Risk of damage to your hearing!
To prevent possible damage to your hearing, avoid listening at high volume over
long periods of time.
Before pressing play, set the volume to the lowest setting.
Start playback and increase the volume to a comfortable level.
7.2. Connecting a digital amplifi er via the optical port
Via the
Optic. OUT
connection, you have the option of outputting the audio signal of your smart TV via a digital ampli-
fier.
To do this, connect an optical cable to the
Optic OUT
port on the smart TV and to the corresponding input on the
amplifier.
7.3. Connecting a soundbar/surround sound system
If you would like to optimise the sound output by connecting a soundbar or surround sound system, the following con-
nection types are available:
PLEASE NOTE!
The ARC function enables you to connect a soundbar/surround sound system via the
HDMI1
connection of
your smart TV. Please refer to the corresponding section on page 39.
On the Optic. OUT connection
If your soundbar/surround sound system has a
optical
SPDIF connector, use an optical cable (not supplied) to connect
this to the
Optic. OUT
connection on your smart TV.
If your sound bar/surround sound system has a
coaxial
SPDIF port, use an adapter (coaxial to optical, not supplied)
to connect this port to the
Optic. OUT
connection on your smart TV.
Via the headphone output
Use an adapter with a 3.5 mm jack to 2 x cinch (not supplied) to connect the headphone output (
) on the smart
TV to the sound inputs on the soundbar/surround sound system. Select the setting
LINEOUT
in the menu
SOUND
, submenu
HEADPHONE/LINEOUT
. Afterwards, the volume of the headphone output can no
longer be set via the
HEADPHONE
option.
Via the SCART connection
Use a SCART to 2 x cinch adapter (notsupplied) to connect the SCART connection of the smart TV with the sound in-
puts of the soundbar/surround sound system.
