Troubleshooting

D. Picture Is Blurry, Out of Focus, or Distorted
1.
Camera
Check the camera
for debris covering
the lens.
Clean any dirt, dust, or moisture found on the outside of the lens cover.
2.
Monitor
Controls
Check monitor
controls.
1. Adjust monitor controls (i.e. brightness, tint) to see if picture clears.
2. Determine if the OSD or the DVR video composites are correct.
Those using the monitor in North or South America must have both the OSD
and the DVR video composites set to NTSC (if equipped with DVR).
Those using the monitor in Europe must have both the OSD and the DVR video
composites set to PAL (if equipped with DVR).
3.
Battery
Check battery to
ensure it is fully
charged.
If the battery voltage drops below 10V, and the camera images become
distorted, 1. the battery must be fully charged, and 2. you will need to unplug
and plug back in the Power Accessory Harness to the bottom of the monitor to
reset the monitor.
E. Cameras Do Not Have Power

1. Ensure camera connections are correctly and securely connected.
2. Refer to Troubleshooting Possible Cause B for other possible corrective
solutions.
F. Loss of Preexisting Monitor Settings
1.
Power Supply
Check the yellow
wire of the power
accessory harness
is plugged into the
battery.
1. Ensure the yellow wire of the Power Accessory Harness is plugged into the
battery or plugged to a constant power source.
2. Do not shut the battery power off.
G. Monitor Is Not In Color
1.
Video
Composite
Monitor is not in
color. The bottom
quarter of the screen
is distorted/blurry.
Determine if the OSD or the DVR video composites are correct.
Those using the monitor in North or South America must have both the OSD
and the DVR video composites set to NTSC (if equipped with DVR).
Those using the monitor in Europe must have both the OSD and the DVR video
composites set to PAL (if equipped with DVR).
H. If The DVR Is Not Recording

SD Card
Check the SD Card. Ensure the card is in its port correctly and is pushed in all the way.

DVR Not
Recording
Check what you
have set for the
DVR options.
Enter the OSD menu, press Input Source, press DVR to determine which
cameras are set to record and to determine if they are actively recording.
The camera icon and a flashing red dot in the upper left corner of the screen
indicates the DVR is recording.

DVR Not
Recording
Check what you
have set for the
DVR menu options.
Enter the OSD menu, press DVR Settings, press DVR Menu, then DVR Record
Source to determine which cameras are set to record. The DVR default setting
is for cameras A, B, C, and D to record once the SD card is inserted.
4.
DVR Not
Recording
Check G-Sensor
Rating.
Enter the OSD menu, press DVR (main menu), press Record Mode, G-Sensor
to determine if a rating is selected. If a G-Sensor rating is selected, the SD Card
will not loop (continuously record). Turn OFF for SD Card to continue loop.
I. Monitor Does Not Recognize The SD Card
1.
SD Card
Check the SD Card.
Try these steps one at a time.
1. Ensure the card is in its port correctly and is pushed in all the way.
2. Power the monitor off then turn monitor back on, while keeping the SD Card
installed in its port.
3. Format the SD Card.
See Page 29 to format the SD Card.
4. Replace the SD Card. (Recommended replacement is McNeilus SD Card,
see Page 48.)
