Main Menu Functions
Date/Time - Set the current Date and Time to ensure accurate recording and accurate GPS locating (set to
the world clock, such as to a cell phone/smartphone or computer time) (Figure 14).
To change a part of the date or time you must use the Menu knob, follow these steps (example used is to change
the Year):
Push the Menu knob on the front panel buttons to highlight the year section, turn the knob either left
(decrease) or right (increase) the number, press the Back button to Save the setting.

The Date and Time must be set in the DVR Main
Menu for the DVR to function properly.
IMPORTANT
Record Mode
• Auto/Manual Rec. - Set the recording function to Auto Record or set Manual Recording (Figure 15).
• Auto Record - Automatically records the images on the cameras chosen in the DVR Source setup.
• Manual Record - Allows for manual recording of whatever is displaying on the monitor screen at the
time of pressing REC on the remote control. Records only when you press REC on the remote control.
To use manual record, access the DVR Menu, press Rec. Mode, press Auto/Manual Rec. Scroll down to Manual,
Press the Menu knob to save selection. Press Back, then touch the screen to get to the camera views.
To start manual recording, press REC on the remote control. To stop manual recording, press REC on the remote
control
NOTE: Default record setting is Auto. If you setup Manual Record, but do not press REC on the remote control
to start recording, the DVR will reset to Auto Record after approximately 15 seconds .
• Video Mode - formatting for NTSC (North and South America) or PAL (Europe) (Figure 15).
