1) Remove factory temperature probe pre-wire.
a) Locate the
Red / Black-stripe wire
and the
Blue / Black-stripe wire
, left of vehicle hood
latch.
b) Verify correct wires by visually tracing
them to OEM temperature sensor connector.
c) Cut wires off at the point where they protrude
from taped wire bundle in hood latch area.

2) Remove OEM temperature sensor connector.
a) Slide tip of screwdriver between connector and
front radiator bracket. Pry connector loose from
radiator bracket.

b) Pull temperature probe connector out of
vehicle and discard.
3) Route EC mirror temperature probe.
a) From passenger-side of engine compartment,
route temperature probe into opening in the front
of the engine compartment.

b) Continue routing temperature probe and harness
under plastic support bracket and into hood latch
area.
