Problem 22

No swing operation, engine does not load.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

No voltage through control handle to controller; No voltage out of controller to pump EDC; Wiring or

switch is faulty; Node is damaged; A pump or motor is damaged; Swing holding brake switch actuated.

CHECKS

Check brake signal and pressure; Check swing handle command in problem direction; Check computer

signal to brake and pump EDC; Check pump and motor pressure; Check items on DRUM screen.

Is 1 displayed after swing brake
and swing lock on screen?

Yes

Not Ok

Yes

When handle is enabled, does CAN bus screen: Swing right Packet #33
bank, 2 change by 32? Swing left Packet #33 bank, 2 change by 16?

Consult dealer/factory.

Replace switch or wiring.

Check wiring connector at pump EDC.

Repair connector. Consult dealer/factory.

Manually stroke swing pump. (See Section 2 - Manual Override Tests).

Does platform rotate?

Isolate and manually the stroke pump. Is system pressurized?

Is 0.1 to 2.0 volts present at pump(s) EDC?

Replace pump EDC.

Repair or replace motor.

Repair or replace
wiring to PC or consult
dealer/factory.

Repair or replace pump.

When moving handle fully in both directions, does SWING screen
read 0.5 to 2.4 volts in left or 2.6 to 4.5 volts in right direction?

Yes

Replace control
handle or repair wiring.

Yes

Is there voltage to swing handle? Center switch (CS) displays 1 on screen.

Consult dealer/factory.

Replace control handle or repair wiring.

Are 24 volts present at brake switch?

Move brake switch
