Problem 6
Crawler travels at slow speed.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Partial control voltage from handle to PC; Partial control voltage from PC to pump EDC; Pump or motor is damaged.
CHECKS
Check travel speed switch for high-speed selection. Check that 100% travel speed is selected on speeds screen.
Selected
Not Selected
Is 2-speed travel valve receiving a voltage signal from controller?
Select high speed with switch and
100% travel speed on speeds screen.
No
Yes
Check 2-speed travel valve for mechanical
problems by manually enabling spool.
Engine RPM is more than 1,500 on screen?
Problem
Yes
No
No Problem
Repair or
replace valve.
Check RPM transducer for correct
operation on digital display.
Remove plug at motor port M5 and check
orifice for obstruction.
(See Section 2 - Motor Components).
Increase engine speed.
Obstruction
No Obstruction
Is throttle in maximum RPM position?
Yes
No
When moving travel handle fully in both directions, does TRACK
screen approach 100% pump control in each direction?
Yes
No
Check for control voltage of zero volts at rest and 24 at full speed
at both sides of EDC coil, and a resistance of around 19 ohms at
pump. (See Section 3 - Checking Electrical Inputs/Outputs).
Consult dealer/factory.
Voltage and Coil Ok
Voltage and/or Coil not Ok
Is system pressure above 3,900 psi (270
bar) at motor port M4? (See Section 2 -
Motor Components).
No
Repair or replace coil or wiring.
Check for pump and motor leakage.
(See Section 2 - Motor Leakage Test
).
Clean or replace orifice.
When moving travel handle fully in both directions, does TRACK screen read 0.5
to 2.4 volts in reverse or 2.6 to 4.5 volts in forward direction?
Yes
No
Replace control handle,
node 2, or repair wiring.
Yes
Slow speed is at
desired speed.
Brake partially applied. Check accessory accumulator system pressure for 500 psi (35 bar).
Below 200 psi (14 bar)
Above 300 psi (21 bar)
Check brake pressure and repair.
