•
Before bleeding the brake system refer to general brake service practice and brake fluid
pre-cautions.
•
Always use the recommended and specified brake fluid.
•
Do not reuse the drained fluid and always use brake fluid from the sealed bottle.
•
Entire bleeding operation should be done with ENGINE ON (running).
•
The reservoir on the master cylinder must be at the Max (upper) level mark at the start of
bleeding procedure and should be checked after bleeding each brake caliper and brake fluid to
be topped up as required.
•
If the brake system is opened i.e. all the wheel cylinders are opened and fluid has drained off.
Even then, since inside the EHCU the inlet valve is normally open, hence the complete brake
bleeding can be done normally as per the defined sequence.
•
Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle, it may damage the paint, if the brake fluid does contact
the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
•
Make sure no dirt or other foreign matter is allowed to contaminate the brake fluid.
•
At all times during the bleeding process, it has to be ensured that the fluid level in the
reservoir does not drop below minimum.
•
The Brake fluid reservoir cap/ container should not be opened with dirty hands.
•
Avoid direct water spray on reservoir while washing engine compartment.
•
Brake fluid meeting SAE J1703 FMVSS NO. 116 DOT 4 or IS 8654 TYPE- 2 specification.
•
During the bleeding operation ensure the container & pipe used is of transparent for better
visual.
