Put the backing flange (27) onto the spindle (26) (Fig. 5).
7.
Rotate the backing flange (27) until one of its grooves is aligned with one of those
on the gear head (22).
8. Insert the multi-tool II (35) into the groove to lock the rotation of the spindle (26).
9. Screw the string trimmer head (23) onto the spindle (26) anti-clockwise securely.
10. Make sure the string trimmer head (23) is firmly tightened and remove the
multi-tool II (35).

Assembling the cutting blade
The tri-arc blade (24) is used together with the cutting-attachment guard (25). Use the
tri-arc blade (24) for cutting heavier weeds, brush and similar vegetation with a thickness
of up to 20 mm.
CAUTION! Risk of cuts!
The tri-arc blade (24) is very sharp. Wear protective
gloves when handling the cutting blades.
1. Loosen the three pre-assembled screws on the gear head (22), using the
multi-tool II (35) (Fig. 6).
2.
With one hand holding the backing flange (27) and the locking flange (28), turn the
securing nut (29) clockwise to loosen it.
3.
Remove the securing nut (29), the locking flange (28) and the backing flange (27)
from the gear head (22).
4. Attach the cutting-attachment guard (25) to the gear head (22). Secure the guard
with the removed three screws (Fig. 7).
Before you start
