Starting cold engine
1.
Place the machine on a flat and stable surface. The cutting attachment should not
touch ground or any objects. Set stop switch (15) to

(Fig. 16).
2. Set the choke (8) to CLOSE
position (Fig. 17).
3.
Press the primer (7) 6 times until the bubble is filled with fuel (Fig. 18).

4. Hold the machine securely to the ground with
your left hand. Pull the recoil starter handle (4)
slowly with your right hand until you feel a
definite resistance and then give it a brisk,
strong pull. Repeat until the engine attempts
to start but no more than 4 times (Fig. 19). (If
engine already started within 4 pulls, ignore
step 5, 6 and go to step 7 directly.)
5. Set the choke (8) to OPEN
position.
6. Pull the recoil starter handle (4) slowly with your
right hand until you feel a definite resistance
and then give it a brisk, strong pull. Repeat
until the engine starts.
7. Immediately press and release the throttle lockout (14) and throttle trigger (16) to
let engine run at idle speed.
8. Let the machine run in idle for 1 to 2 minutes to let it warm up.
