2.2 GENERAL SETUP FLOWCHART

Set up the DL8 according to the following procedure.

CONFIRM SPECIFICATIONS

Refer to “3. SPECIFICATIONS”.

SET UP NETWORK

Configure and connect the DL8 to the network.
Refer to “4. NETWORK CONFIGURATION”.

CONNECT & SET UP I/O MODULES

Configure I/O modules of the DL8.
Refer to “5. CONNECTING I/O MODULES”.

CONNECT & SET UP SLAVE DEVICES

Expand input and output with remote I/Os or via SLMP.
Refer to “6. CONNECTING SLAVE DEVICES”.

ASSIGN & SET UP I/O CHANNELS

Assign inputs/outputs of the connected I/O modules or slave devices to the DL8.
Refer to “7. SETTING UP I/O CHANNELS”.

WEB SERVER SETTING

Configure to show the input/output signal on the Web Browser.
Refer to “8. WEB SERVER”.

OTHER OPTIONS

E-mail (Type B, C, D & E)

Configure the E-mail setting.
Refer to “9. E-MAIL (TYPE B, C, D & E)”.

FTP Client (Type B, C, D & E)

Configure the FTP client setting.
Refer to “10. FTP CLIENT (TYPE B, C, D & E)”.

Configure the logging functions.
