Fault
Possible causes
Measures for resolution
The chlorine measuring cell
displays too much with
respect to the DPD-1
measurement
May occur when using "water fining
agents". Chlorine-oxygen bonds are
contained in some of these agents which
react with chlorine to make chlorine dioxide,
thus distorting the measuring signal by
greater values
Refrain from dosing this agent. A change of water might be required.
Use of "organic chlorine".
When using organic chlorine products,
cyanuric acid accumulates in the swimming
pool water. The DPD-1 method displays
excessive chlorine content to which the
measuring cell cannot be adjusted
Replace the water completely and use other chemicals for disinfection
The
TOPAX
®
MC
controller
loses all settings after he
has been disconnected from
the network and then recon-
nected.
The battery is empty.
n
Check that the battery is really empty. To do so, navigate to the
menu System > Information > System values. You can view the
battery voltage under “Battery”. If the voltage is under 2.9 V,
change the battery.
n
Replace the battery. (See chapter 11.7.2 “Replace the battery” on
page 41)
The
TOPAX
®
MC
is off
The power supply has been interrupted.
Restore the power supply.
The device fuse is defective.
Replace the fuse. (See chapter 11.8 “Replacing the fuse” on
page 41)
The sensor error is
displayed as an alarm.
The sensor has not been installed correctly.
Make sure that the sensor has been connected correctly. See chapter
7.5 “Connecting sensors” on page 18.
The signal cable to the sensor has a break.
Replace the signal cable.
