Optional Boost
Charge Panel

Only)
The Boost Charge Panel shown in Figure 4-14 is optional for the
plant.
All three of the following criteria must be satisfied to insure that
a Boost Charge Panel is suitable for a particular battery plant.
1. The total plant drain (I
Load
) must be between 10% and
80% of the plant charge capacity (I
Cap
).

2. The total plant drain (ILoad) must be between 5% and 40%
of the Ampere-Hour capacity (A-HR) of the entire battery
string.
3. The plant charge capacity must be between 28% and 55%
of the Ampere-Hour (A-HR) capacity of the entire battery
string.
