(2) Main gear shift lever (PST)
 The main gear shift system of this power shift
models is activated by engaging/disengaging of
the hydraulic wet disk clutches without
depressing clutch pedal.

 The main gear shift lever is a fixed lever and
does not move to any directions. To shift the
main gear ratio, just press down the shift-up /
shift-down button without depressing clutch
pedal.

 The main gears have 8 th gear ratios. Whenever you press the shift-up button, the gear ratio will be
stepped up and whenever you press the shift-down button, the gear ratio will be stepped down step
by step.

To shift the main gears in the middle gear ratio - from 4 th to 5 th or from 5 th to 4 th gear ratio, you must
press the shift-up/shift-down button with pressing and holding the range shift button. The variation of
the gear ratios is not linear in this region. Be careful that the shifting shock can be increased
considerably when you drive the heavy loaded vehicle on a steep hill.
For the details of the vehicle driving speed, refer to the chapter 4-6, “Driving speed” in this manual.
 When starting the engine in case that the range gear lever is placed at the low speed position, or
when shifting the range gear lever from high speed position to low speed position, the main gears
are automatically set to the 5
th gear ratio.

When starting the engine in case that the range gear lever is placed at the high speed position, or
when shifting the range gear lever from low speed position to high speed position, the main gears
are automatically set to the 9
th gear ratio.
 The main gears are shifted normally, the power shift system will try to shift three times. After that,
the system will display any error diagnosis code(s) in the instrument LCD panel. Consult your
authorized local dealer.
► Proper transmission oil temperature is necessary to the performance of the power
shift system. Be sure to warm-up the tractor until blink of the neutral indicator is
stopped and do not operate the tractor hastily, especially in cold weather.
► If you operate the shifting buttons while driving the heavy loaded vehicle on a
steep hill, be careful that you may loose your control.
► Park the tractor on a level ground and apply the parking brake. If you need to park
the tractor on a slope, apply the parking brake, and apply the wheel chocks to all
the wheels. The engine brake by engaging low speed gears is NOT available for
this power shift models.
