Printing of the Test Report
The final phase of the analysis is the printing of the Test Report. The Intoxilyzer 8000 gives a printed
record of the serial number and location of the instrument, test procedure, test result, and the date
and time of the test.

The operator can be assured that all operational parameters of the test were met because the
instrument printed a completed Test Report. If at any time during the testing sequence there had
been an exception to the testing sequence, a malfunction, or an error, the test would have been
aborted and the instrument would not have printed a completed Test Report. This Test Report will
also contain the test subject’s name and DOB, the operator’s name and permit number and space for
remarks or handwritten information deemed pertinent by the operator.
A
Completed Test Report is one which indicates a breath test result, a refusal, or the presence of an
interfering substance. An I ncomplete Test Report is one which does not indicate a test result, a
refusal, or the presence of an interfering substance and will instruct the operator to take some sort of
corrective action.
The instrument will provide three (3) copies of the Test Report for the operator to distribute. If
additional copies are needed, the operator may re-print a copy of the report either at the time of the
test, or anytime up until the instrument’s memory is downloaded by the Department of State Police
(refer to
Section 4.0 – Reviewing the Test Report ). To reprint the Test Report at the time of the test,
the operator should press the “Y” key on the keyboard when the instrument displays the “ Reprint
(Y/N)?” message:

If no action is taken by the operator, the instrument will return to the
“Ready to Start” message after
approximately thirty (30) seconds.
