Network Filters Overview
In addition to providing storage for your data, the NSS provides a configurable firewall to protect
that data. Defining network filters lets you specify which network hosts have access to the NSS via the
various supported protocols.
To view the network filters:
1. From the
Manager Menu
, click
Access
Network.
The
Network Filters
page appears.
2. You can do any of the following:
• Set the default network policy (
see Defining the Default Network Policy
) to control what
happens to traffic not explicitly covered by defined filters.
• View or delete the existing filters (
see Network Filters Overview
) defined for the NSS from the
Active Network Access Filters
table.
• Create a new filter (
see Creating a Network Filter
) based on an IP or MAC address or a
range of IP addresses.
