Connect AERO.100 AES outputs AES Outputs 1/2 and 3/4 to the external watermark
encoder inputs 1 and 2.

Connect external watermark encoder outputs 1 and 2 to AERO.100 AES inputs 1/2 and
3/4.
The typical viewer ratings encoder does not encode to the Ls or Rs channels so pairs 5/6 do not
need to be routed outside the AERO.100. Processed channels 1/2 and 3/4 are routed through
the external encoder and directly to the Dolby encoder inputs through the Dolby Inserts.
Return A and B are the patch points to the Dolby Insert.
Note!
Audio delays may require adjustment depending on the external encoder
latency.

There are some users that may want to insert a SAP program created in Instance 1 into the
stereo Dolby encoder in a stereo Instance 2. This is often the case when the user wants to
configure a SAP output that has auto replacement of missing SAP by a downmix of the main
channel. In the case of SAP configured on Instance 1, DRC Program 2 Follow the steps below.
1.
Output Routing > AES/SDI routing > AES Outputs

Select AES Out 1/2 and select Proc 7/8 from the drop down as the source. Processed
SAP is now on AES output 1/2.
3.
Instance 2 > Output > Dolby Digital Plus Encoder >
Insert and select On.
4.
Instance 2 > Input > Source > Return
A and select AES 1/2 as the source.
5.
Connect a physical unbalanced AES jumper between AERO.100 AES 1/2 Out and AES 1/2

There is a feature of the 5.1 surround output channel. The most commonly used source pair
configuration for embedded SDI content is to place stereo programs on pair 1 (channels 1/2).
